In accordance with the Schools’ requirements, certain quotas will be reserved for specific groups of students in some courses. In this case, the open places are reserved for these students. Registry Office will attach the course offering information when issuing the course registration notification. Please pay attention to the email sent by Registry Office.

The students shall submit course add applications to the Course Offering School(s) during Add/Drop period.

The Schools will submit the lists of non-conflicting courses (which are usually required courses) to Registry Office according to the study scheme.  After the timetable is determined, generally, it will not be readjusted. It is recommended that the students take the courses following the recommended course pattern in their study scheme.

Swap is used to change the lecture or course, and Edit is used to change the tutorial of a course.

For the GE courses, please refer to the GE study scheme on Registry Office website: https://registry.cuhk.edu.cn/page/21

If the students failed a required course, they must retake it to fulfill the graduation requirements.

A Student shall not repeat any course which s/he has taken and passed except as required by regulations which prescribe otherwise. The unit/s of a course which a Student has passed but is required to repeat shall count only once towards the number of units for graduation. All courses taken, including multiple attempts, will be counted in GPA calculation.
Currently, all passed courses cannot be retaken. If the students repeat a passed course, the unit(s) and grade of the second attempt will not be counted.
