How do our students register for the TEM 4/8 examinations and when do they take them?

The Registry Office will announce the registration details. The TEM 4 is taken on the 3rd Saturday in April each year, with one make-up opportunity for sophomores; the TEM 8 exam is taken in March each year, with one make-up opportunity for the Fourth-year students only ( students can return to the campus for make-up test after graduation).

Eligibility for the TEM 4/8 exam?

Only students in English and Translation majors are eligible to sit for the tests.

Can the first year students take the CET ?

Students cannot register for the CET until their second term.

How to register for the CET and when will the exam be held?

Self-registration is available at the CET4/6 website (http://cet.neea.edu.cn/) at the specified time. For details of registration and examination dates, please refer to the announcement emails by the Registry Office (around March and September each year). The examinations are usually held on the third Saturday of June and December each year.

Can students take the CET exam in another city?

Students can only register and sit for the CET in the University they are attending.

Where can I check my CET 4/6 ticket number?

Students can check their ticket number for the current test session on the CET4/6 website (http://cet.neea.edu.cn/). Students are advised to keep their ticket number for checking their results.

What will happen if I miss collecting my CET ticket and can I take the exam with another document?

You must have all three documents (ID card, CET ticket and student card) ready in order to attend the test.

If I lose my ID card and student card, can I replace them with other documents in order to sit the exam?

If you have lost your ID card, you will need to go to the Police Office to obtain a temporary proof of identity (note the expiry date); if you have lost your student card, you can bring a one-inch ID photo and your ID card to the Registry Office to obtain a temporary certifying letter (for CET).

Will there be any adverse effects if I do not take the CET 4/6 for any reason?

No.
