1. It is strongly suggested to check the enrollment dates and times if the students had suspended studies in the past terms. Once the course registration date or time is not consistent with students' actual situation, the students should contact Registry Office for verification.
2. In Term 1 and Term 2, students who have not taken part in Pre-registration will only be allowed to register for courses 10 minutes after the course registration process has started.
3. The students should confirm if they have selected the correct term.
No. The registration process is exactly the same as that of Formal Course Registration: putting courses in the shopping cart is just the first step, and there are two more steps needed to be done to add a course: input the verification code and click “Finish Enrolling”.
1. Login to SIS, click “Self Service > Academic Planning > Enrollment Shopping Cart” and select the term of which the students want to validate the courses. Click “Continue”.
2. Check the checkbox of the courses. Click “Validate”.
3. Check the status of validation. The system will check the fulfillment of requisite set up by the Course Offering School. The students can only add the course(s) with √ status. SIS will indicate the reason why the students do not satisfy course enrollment requirements (for example, target students, reserved quota, pre-requisite, co-requisite, exclusion, unit limitation, time conflict, etc.)
If there are any inconsistency between the course registration conditions on SIS and the information published by Registry Office, please timely report to Registry Office for verification.
Normally it will not happen. The students could view their timetable in "My Class Schedule" function. There are two ways to display the timetable: "List View" or "Weekly Calendar View". The course(s) without a scheduled time will not be displayed on "Weekly Calendar View". The students may view the complete timetable on "List View".
Note: The students must finish all three steps to register the courses, otherwise, the students will not register the courses successfully.
The students shall take no more than 6 units of courses in each Summer Session, and no more than 39 units in an academic year. The available units in Summer Session should be the 39 units minus the units of Term 1 and Term 2.
The students could confirm their term enrollment limits via Self Service > Enrollment > Enrollment Dates to check the enrollment date, time and unit limit.
Courses placed on the Waiting List will not occupy the units and therefore will not affect the students' selection of other courses. The Waiting List is not currently open.
1. During the course registration or add/drop period, the students can choose to change to another tutorial with available quota.
2. If the students insist on enrolling in the tutorial that is already full, they should drop the course(s) first, and submit course add applications to the Course Offering School during add/drop period. The Course Offering School will review the applications. Please take note of the risk that the application might be rejected.
3. After the add/drop period, the students should submit late course add application to the course offerings school. The students do not need to submit the course instructor's comment.
